Auch aus Marloffstein werden die Kirchweihpunkte entführt

Uttenreuth extends unbeaten streak!

The highly anticipated Kirchweih match between Marloffstein and Uttenreuth on August 2nd turned out to be a mere friendly after Uttenreuth's first goal in the 9th minute from Günter started the scoring. A second and third goal was followed up from Andy to make it three - nil at half time.

The team recouped at half from the blazing sun and came out with a will to win that is rarely seen at the AH level. A fourth goal was scored by the Uttenreuther to make it four - nil. The dream of a shut out was short lived after the defense relaxed and Marloffstein snuck a shot by Guido who had been marvelous up to that point, saving three or four shots at the last second. The hope of a Marloffstein comeback was short lived after Sascha scored from 40 yards away and Andy capped off the scoring with a clever shot to end the match 6 - 1.

Marloffstein was not happy with their performance and demanded a rematch end of September. It is to be seen if the extra time to prepare will make a difference.

Game note: Jürgen Böhm is a mere two games away from his 500th game played for the red and black of SCU.
